| The role of the VCC |
| |
|
|
As the catechetical programmes are run by parish catechists under the leadership of a parish catechetical co-ordinator, the key aspect of the work of a VCC is to monitor, encourage, support and train those working at local level. This is done through: |
| |
- Parish visits: Individual visits to parish co-ordinators
and parish catechists
- Group meetings: Bi-monthly meetings of all parish
co-ordinators for planning and sharing
|
| |
- Parish priests: Meeting with priests individually or collectively to update, hear views and receive feedback
- Training: Planning and running training sessions for Catechists
- Catechetical functions: Attending functions at parish and vicariate level.
