| The Potter's House |
This ministry was born out of the Scripture passage: "Like clay in the potter's hand, so you are in mine." [Jeremiah 18:6]. The Potter's House is situated in the grounds of Holy Faith Convent, Couva, and is run by Sr. Mary Anthony.
| |
Children as young as seven years old are welcome to the Potter's House, as are teenage and adult groups. Catechists, staffs, those involved in sacramental preparation, school groups and many others use this facility to come on retreat and satisfy their hunger for spiritual and faith development.
Here the process of finding and renewing oneself is done mainly through the medium of clay. With clay, people are able to touch the earth, feel the softness of the clay, mould and shape and come into contact with the God who shapes, moulds and remoulds us, according to the Potter's wishes. Working with clay is deeply symbolic and a very gentle way for all age groups to come in contact with their deeper selves.

| University Campus Ministry |
Sr. Mary Anthony also began in 2008 a part-time ministry three days per week as chaplain to students in The Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry (Food Production), the Couva campus of the University of Trinidad and Tobago. She is also part of the chaplaincy team at the UTT Valsayn and Corinth Teachers' College campuses.
This ministry consists in being a presence and arranging events for students as they explore their faith in the stimulating environment of university.
The chaplain also stands at the service of all members of the university who find a need for the pastoral support the chaplaincy offers. Mary will also work closely with the chaplains in the other branches of UTT and the other universities.
